SIS provides mentoring and coaching to a network of women, moms, and allies, including women who have experienced economic instability, grief and loss, trauma, incarceration, racial disparities, and physical and mental health challenges. SIS connects service-year alum and communities of women across Florida with opportunities for spiritual development and economic support, extending the legacy of Catholic religious sisters who have dedicated their lives to social, economic and racial justice. Ultimately, SIS aims to form new structures for a shared economy and spiritual community that supports all women called to God’s work for justice, regardless of religion, race, marital or economic status.
