As a former Catholic Volunteer, you continue to be a valuable part of the CVIF Family. We would like to keep you connected to the CV Program, to each other and to the transformative experience you were a part of as a Catholic Volunteer. There are many ways for you to stay involved including:

Share Your Story

Recruiting: Your experience as a Catholic Volunteer is part of the unique history of the CV program. In telling your story to others, you continue to connect with your service and inspire others. This also aides in recruiting new volunteers who potentially may fill the place you once occupied at your service site. Please let us know if you are willing and able to host a table at a local college fair or parish function. We would be happy to send you brochures to spread the word.

Alumni Buddy: As alumni, you know about the areas, service sites, and the program, and can be a liaison and a mentor during the volunteer’s service year; be there for questions, especially if the volunteer needs support or just needs to talk. Other ideas for a buddy would be care packages, prayer partners (helping them understand how to be a good prayer partner by example), and joining us at one of our retreats, if possible.

Staying Connected

We would love to hear from you! Send us your updates, new life changes, achievements and pictures to volunteer@cvif.org, so we can share them in the alumni newsletter. Join us for events, and retreats.

Giving Back to the CV Program

Time: Have you considered joining our Board of Directors? We believe some the best representatives on the Board are those who have served. We accept annual nominations for consideration in March, prior to our last meeting of the fiscal year. If you think you are ready and would like to be nominated, please email your resume to volunteer@cvif.org requesting consideration.

Talent: Do you have a gift to share with the current class of volunteers? Would you be interested in leading a monthly community night, being a presenter at a retreat, cooking for a retreat, or playing an instrument at a CV event? Let us know what your gift is, and we can see how we can incorporate it into our program.

Treasure: The CV program exists because of the generous support of hundreds of donors, friends, and former volunteers. Consider making a gift of time and/or financial resources to help fund the CV program for many more years. Even a small monthly contribution of $5 or $10 can make a huge difference and provide support for another individual to complete a year of service.
